We are currently looking to fill a full-time Warehouse Manager position to work at our offices located at 8360 rue Champ d'Eau, Montreal.

Job Description

Under the supervision of management, the Warehouse Manager plans, organizes, and optimizes all logistics operations. He or she ensures the smooth execution of receiving, storage, order preparation, and shipping activities, while maintaining the safety of people, goods, and facilities.
The person works closely with their assistant, the Shipping Manager, and other departments to ensure effective coordination aligned with the company’s objectives.

Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management: Supervise all receiving operations, including verification of quantities and product compliance. Organize storage, oversee order preparation, and support shipping activities to ensure deadlines, internal procedures, and quality standards are met.
Flow Planning and Optimization: Plan location replenishment and manage daily grouped picking orders required for operations. Optimize the physical layout of the warehouse, including storage areas and traffic flow, to improve operational efficiency and maximize space utilization.
Transportation and External Logistics Management: Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation, maintain relationships with carriers, plan shipments, and monitor deliveries and claims, while ensuring cost optimization.
Team Management and Internal Coordination: Plan schedules, support the training and onboarding of new employees, and lead and motivate the team to ensure optimal performance and a positive work environment. Maintain clear communication with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Production, and Management to align operational priorities.
Safety, Equipment, and Maintenance: Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards. Oversee the proper functioning of warehouse equipment and coordinate maintenance and necessary repairs. Ensure the building and facilities are properly maintained.
Administrative and Financial Management: Contribute to the development and monitoring of the warehouse’s annual budget. Manage procurement of office and warehouse supplies. Plan and supervise periodic and annual inventory counts, analyze discrepancies, and implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Good geographic knowledge of Canadian cities and provinces

Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French
  • Functional knowledge of spoken and written English (an asset)
  • Forklift certification (an asset)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
