A craft project to introduce children to the technique of stained glass and create suncatchers with lively colours that let the light shine through. The child fills in the gaps in the wooden pieces with stained glass paint, colour by colour, following the templates provided. Once the paint is dry, all that’s left is to remove the suncatchers from their protective covering and remove the films protecting the wood from any splashes of paint. The suncatchers can be hung individually or assembled to form one single piece to be placed by a window, allowing sunlight to shine through them and reveal different nuances of colour produced by the stained glass effect.
